Jorma Kaukonen

Jorma Kaukonen is an influential American guitarist, singer, and songwriter, best known for his work in the genres of rock, folk, and blues. Born on December 23, 1940, in Washington, D.C., he gained prominence as a founding member of the iconic band Jefferson Airplane, contributing to their psychedelic sound during the 1960s. His notable works with the band include classic tracks such as "Somebody to Love" and "White Rabbit." Kaukonen is also well-regarded for his solo career and as a member of Hot Tuna, a band he formed with bassist Jack Casady. Hot Tuna, which began as a Jefferson Airplane side project, has released several albums, with notable works like "Burgers" (1972) and "America's Choice" (1975).
